Elevate your impact on water availability!

At Acacia Water we work on improving the water availability worldwide. For many (semi-)arid regions, groundwater extraction is an important source of drinking and irrigation water. In some of our projects, we therefore consult regional water authorities on the best locations for wells and on the best well management. We want new well locations to be sustainable, in terms of their impact on the hydrological system, but also related to socio-economic and governmental aspects. This requires an integrated approach where the entire water system is considered together with the relevant stakeholders.

In this workshop you become a consultant who advises on best locations of groundwater wells in one of our project locations in a semi-arid region. You can use different types of maps and information on the region to come to a substantiated decision. We will jointly discuss the considerations and challenges in this type of consultancy work, where we always aim for a long-lasting impact!
